Scholarships for Chinese Applicants
The International Programmes Committee of the Universiteit van Amsterdam Business School has decided to offer a limited number of partial scholarships for above average Chinese applicants for the Amsterdam MBA, the Master in International Finance and the Master in International Management and Sustainability. This follows from the successful implementation of a similar scheme for the academic year 2005/6 and has been established to recognise the recent governmental accreditation of all three programmes by the NVAO. The scholarships will be in the form of three 50% or six 25% fee waivers of the course fees or a pro rata mixture thereof.
To apply for the 2006/7 Chinese Scholarships applicants must:
Submit the normal or online application form before the 31st of March 2005 together with a note that they wish to apply for the scholarship, although it is not necessary for the application to be complete at this stage;
Submit a completed application before the 30th of April 2006 including all requested supporting documentation; and
Formally accept the offer of a place on one of the three programmes and pay the deposit before the 31st of May 2006.
The applicants must be Chinese citizens residing in China at the time of the application. Applicants accept that the decision of the selection panel on the allocation of the scholarships is final and the panel may decide not to allocate the scholarships for 2006/7 if suitable candidates are not found. The selection will be based solely on the candidate's potential which will be determined with reference to their first degree performance, relevant work experience, IELTS score (or other indication of English language ability) and GMAT score.
Applying for these scholarships does not preclude candidates from applying for other scholarships and the applicants are only committed to attend the programme on acceptance of the final offer and their signing of the appropriate contract.
